Privacy & Data Use

A plain-language overview of how Pack 92 uses information for this website and its Flag Service.

General website use

This website provides information about Cub Scout Pack 92, meetings, programs, events, resources, contact options, and the Pack 92 Flag Service. We use information you submit to respond to your request, operate the requested feature, protect the site, and keep the service working.

Flag Service customer records

When you enroll or manage Flag Service, Pack 92 may keep names, contact details, service addresses, service-recipient details, subscription status, terms acceptance, support messages, and related operational notes. Service addresses help us deliver the service and determine eligibility.

Payments and automatic renewal

Payments are handled through provider-hosted payment flows. Pack 92 uses payment tokens and limited payment-method details supplied by the payment provider; we do not request or store full card numbers or CVV/security codes in this website. If you authorize automatic renewal, we use the provider’s tokenized payment method and keep the subscription and renewal records needed to operate it. You can manage future renewal and payment methods through your secure management link, subject to the current Flag Service terms.

Support messages and surveys

Messages sent through Flag Support are used to answer service questions and maintain a service history. If we ask for survey verification, the information you provide is used to confirm the relevant service record and protect survey results from unauthorized submissions. Survey responses may be retained for Pack planning and reporting, with access limited to the people and systems that need it.

Newsletters and email preferences

Pack 92 may send transactional emails about enrollment, receipts, payment status, renewals, cancellations, service updates, and support replies. We may also send optional Flag Service newsletters or announcements when you are eligible to receive them. Unsubscribing stops newsletter and announcement messages for that email address; it does not stop necessary transactional messages about an active service or a request you made.

Service providers

Pack 92 uses service providers to host data and run features, including Supabase for application data and authentication, PayPal for payment processing and tokenization, and Google Workspace/Gmail for email delivery. Flag Service checks addresses against its internal eligibility list and uses public county parcel GIS for property context; it does not send service addresses to a paid Google Maps Platform API. Providers process information only as needed for the feature they support and under their own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the Pack, provide Flag Service, maintain records, resolve questions, meet legal or accounting needs, and protect against misuse. Retention can vary by record type. We use access controls, secure provider connections, tokenized payment methods, and other practical safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
